The price of a Uganda’s Gorilla permits is affordable compared to Rwanda. Ever since Rwanda started marketing herself as a luxury destination, she increased her gorilla permit to USD1500 per person per trek which is enough for a solo traveler to do a 2 day or 3 Days Gorilla trekking in Uganda. However, with effect from 1st July 2020 the trekking permit was increased to USD 700 per person per trek which is still fare price for a budget traveler.

The Mountain gorillas in Uganda are tracked throughout the year and it is up you the traveler when you would like to visit Uganda and go for gorilla tracking experience. We have two seasons in Uganda, The high/peak season that starts from December to March and June to August, as these are the dry seasons of the year.
The Low season starts from march to May and September to November when the rain is much but the lodges put their rates down as way of attract tourists to visit the gorillas, so you can either choose to visit the mountain gorillas when the cost for services is friendly. However, it is almost the same experience and the low season gorillas are better because of lower numbers of tourists, which gives an extra opportunity of viewing the gorillas with a more friendly environment.
